"The complete Arya Sandhya Prayer as given by Sri Sri Thakur contains within it the science and philosophy of human evolution. To truly realize this requires profound contemplation, intellectual depth, and a refined mind. The universal vision through which the ancient Aryan sages' Vedic ideal of attaining Brahmanhood—recorded in the Vedas through solemn resolve and disciplined practice—was opened equally to all, irrespective of gender, caste, or social status, was understood by only a very small number of the great companions of the Yugapurush. Since ancient times, humanity had been subtly deprived of this wisdom. This comprehensive spiritual discipline encompasses the philosophy of the Creator and Creation, the doctrine of the Five Elements (Pancha Bhuta), invocation (Abahan), purification (Achaman), Apamarjana, Aghamarshana, Gayatri worship, the Five Great Sacrifices (Pancha Maha Yajna), reverence to ancestors, divine sages, and forefathers, the sacrament of marriage, the principles of Anuloma and Pratiloma, the four Varnas, the four Ashramas, and the Arya twice-born way of life (Dvija Dharma). Sri Sri Thakur revived all these as essential daily practices so that every human being—man or woman, regardless of caste or community—could attain the divine conduct of Brahmanhood and progress toward a more evolved civilization. However, because these practices had not been cultivated for centuries, and because humanity remained in the darkness of ignorance, their true greatness remained beyond the reach of most people. How long this will continue will be determined by the course of time. So be it. The history of Satsang shows that although Sri Sri Thakur reintroduced these practices for the welfare and evolution of all, due to rigid thinking, worn-out mental attitudes, and various other reasons, they once again began to fade into obscurity. Thus, a great evolutionary principle has been moving toward extinction. In such circumstances, a few of his selfless, dedicated, and saint-like followers, who had completely surrendered themselves to him, made every effort to preserve this evolutionary science and philosophy embodied in the complete Arya Sandhya Prayer and its mantras, so that humanity would not be deprived of this evolutionary wisdom. Alongside this was his cherished vision of the Banga-Magadha Plan. With this noble objective, the Satsang institution bearing his name was first established at Gidhni in Paschim Medinipur and later evolved into its expanded form at Saradiha. It is noteworthy that in many places the complete Arya Sandhya Prayer, as translated into Bengali by Sri Sri Thakur, is recited after omitting significant portions such as Apamarjana, Aghamarshana (the Vedic mantras for the purification of sins translated into Bengali), and the Gayatri Vandana (also translated into Bengali from the Vedas). For reasons that remain unclear, these sections are often excluded. At the Gidhni Satsang Ashram, however, these omitted Bengali portions—including Apamarjana and Aghamarshana—were recited collectively once every year as part of the complete Arya Sandhya Prayer. This was conducted under the guidance of Prati Ritwik Sri Kiran Chandra Mukherjee, the close associate of Ritwikacharya Krishna Prasanna Bhattacharya, one of Sri Sri Thakur's companions. He was assisted by many distinguished devotees and associates who had personally met and served Sri Sri Thakur, including Yati Ritwik Kalidas Majumdar, Sudhir Kumar Basu (the first Secretary of Satsang and an IAS officer), Birendra Narayan Goswami, Professor Anil Sarkar, Professor Rajat Baran Dutta Roy, Professor Umapada Nath, Kedar Prasanna Lahiri, Gurudas Banerjee, Kumud Bandhu Bal, the late father of Asim Mukherjee of Jamshedpur (popularly known as "Mukherjee-da"), Birendra Nath Panda, Durga Bhattacharya, and many others. Together they offered this prayer with profound devotion at the sacred feet of the Purushottama. Later, Professor Anil Sarkar, Sudhir Kumar Basu, Birendra Narayan Goswami, Narayan Banerjee of Kolkata, Bipul Lahiri, Pranab Nath, Arun Ghosh, Nikhil Das, Pranab Ghosh, Bimal Krishna Pal, Sudhir Malakar, Dr. Kalika Prasad Mitra (affectionately known as "Kanu-da"), Jagdish Mitra ("Tinu-da"), teacher Suresh Panda, Raghunath Panda, and many other devoted followers and admirers preserved the complete Arya Sandhya Prayer in its original Bengali form as given by Sri Sri Thakur. Their objective was to propagate and establish his teachings in their original and unaltered form, while avoiding unnecessary conflicts, disputes, and struggles for power. With this purpose, they established the sacred Satsang centre at Saradiha, so that the future world might inherit this science of evolved consciousness, accessible to every person regardless of gender, caste, or social background. It should also be noted that this noble effort to preserve and spread the philosophy of evolutionary consciousness was by no means easy. Those who dedicated themselves to this sacred mission had to endure severe criticism, insult, humiliation, neglect, and deprivation at the hands of a small number of narrow-minded, self-seeking, status-hungry, and hypocritical individuals who outwardly claimed to be devotees. Even today, that tendency continues. Rabindranath Tagore wrote, "Accept the truth with simplicity." Yet he knew well that truth is rarely accepted easily, because of countless emotional and psychological influences. Swami Vivekananda declared, "Everything may be sacrificed for truth, but truth should never be sacrificed for anything." He too understood that most people would abandon truth in pursuit of worldly desires. To acknowledge truth and sacrifice oneself for it, free from the bondage of selfish impulses, is the work of the brave—not of cunning, deceitful, or hypocritical people. Such courage belonged to those devoted companions whose hearts were like lions. It is not the work of those who merely wear the external garb of devotion while seeking position and prestige. The nature of the fox is to act like a fox; the nature of the lion is to act like a lion. The Supreme Father will establish and propagate His unadulterated message through lion-hearted souls. That has been the pattern throughout history, and by His grace, it shall remain so in the future. History itself bears witness to this. "He is the doer of all actions. The friend of friends, the beloved of all. Beyond the reach of speech and mind. Only the heart that truly understands can comprehend Him. Enough of further elaboration. Truth alone triumphs."
